Time For What???

003 004

Yeah, yeah, I know.  I haven’t been posting on here like I ought.  It just seems like there is never enough time in the day for all the things I need to do!  And lately, I’ve been trying my hand at a few little craft ideas in order to bring a little more income into the home, in addition to the home-based business I got in a few months ago.  Somewhere along the way, I need to learn to juggle.  All these balls keep falling out of my hands, and whenever I get one picked up, another one or two fall to the ground!
So here’s a quick recipe for you, that I made up yesterday.  LOL  It was one of those, “Oh, I want to make ‘this’, but I don’t have all the ingredients on hand!  What do I do?  IMPROVISE!”  I started with the Key Lime Shake from the new THM cookbook, but by the time I got done, I don’t think there was much I hadn’t changed up.  Haha! (Edit–here’s another picture that includes my sweetie that loves to share with me!!  She’s giving me the “don’t you dare take this away again” look.  Haha! <3 )

If you want to buy the Super Sweet Blend (or any other THM product), please click here.  It won’t cost you any extra, and it will help me and my family out.  Thanks!  =D

Sneaky Lime Shake

Super yummy, and OH, so good for you! The okra is untastable, never fear!
Recipe type: S
Cuisine: THM
Serves: 1 qt. serving
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • a handful of baby spinach (12-20 leaves, maybe)
  • 1 carton (5.3 oz) 000 Oikos yogurt ( I used mixed berry, since that was the flavor I had on hand, so I'm sure any flavor would do)
  • ¼ cup(ish) heavy cream
  • ⅔ cup(ish) water
  • 1 Tablespoon Super Sweet Blend
  • 1-2 Tablespoons cream cheese
  • ⅓ cup frozen okra
  • 1-1/2 to 2 cups ice
  • ½ scoop vanilla protein powder (because I'm out of THM Protein Powder)
  • ½ teaspoon Gluccie (glucomannan)
  • 2-3 drops lime essential oil
  1. Blend all but the last five ingredients until the spinach is no longer visible (no little bits). Add the okra, and blend well again. Add the last four ingredients, blend until desired consistency. Add a straw and drink up! Yum! (My 11-month-old loved it, too!)

Hi Laura, I was just wondering about your site. I hadn’t had time to look at it earlier. This post gives me the opportunity to look into it. Happy new year!
